The Wheatsheaf

Grade II listed village pub with six letting rooms on St Helens Street, reopened under new owners in May 2026.

About The Wheatsheaf

The Wheatsheaf is a stone-built, Grade II listed pub on St Helens Street in Corbridge, first recorded as an inn in 1827. CAMRA describes a small bar to the left of the door, an informal seating area to the right and a large restaurant at the rear, with cask ale on the bar.

The pub closed at the start of May 2026 and reopened on 30 May 2026 under Eve Tan and Kier Brookes-Humphrey, who say they want it to be family-friendly, fun and affordable. It has six rooms upstairs aimed at walkers, cyclists and weekend visitors, and hosts live music including acoustic sets and open mic nights.
