Sycamore Counselling Service

Registered charity offering donation-based one-to-one counselling for adults across Tynedale, with a free first assessment session.

About Sycamore Counselling Service

Sycamore Counselling Service is a registered charity (number 1179039) providing one-to-one counselling for adults aged 18 and over from across Tynedale. Sessions take place in a private ground-floor room at the Adapt NE building on Burn Lane in Hexham. Its counsellors are members of either the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or the Association of Christian Counsellors, and the service also supports student counsellors on placement.

The first session is a free assessment, and after that the service works on a donation basis, with a suggested sliding scale linked to income so that cost need not be a barrier. People can be referred by a GP or other professional, or refer themselves, but in either case they need to contact the service to arrange an assessment, by phone or text on 07939 493030 or by email at sycamorecounsellingservice@gmail.com.
