Robson & Sons is a traditional family butcher at 2 Meal Market in the centre of Hexham, supplying meat to households and the catering trade since 1894. Photographs from around 1930 show the Robson family outside the same premises with their prize cups and certificates.
The counter stocks beef, lamb, pork, bacon and ham, and the shop is best known for its sausages, made fresh on the premises every day. It was among the shops recommended by Hexham Courant readers in a round-up of the best butchers in Hexham and the Tyne Valley, and holds a food hygiene rating of 5.
