About Core Music
Core Music is a community music hub run as a Community Interest Company at 14 a/b Gilesgate in central Hexham, a short train or bus ride from Corbridge. It describes itself as a safe and supportive space for musicians of all ages and abilities, with a collective of professional musicians who teach, perform and run sessions.
The hub offers one-to-one lessons, group sessions and workshops, and a community recording studio with an engineer. When we checked in November 2026 its vouchers priced a 30-minute one-to-one lesson at £25. It was not taking phone calls, so enquiries go through the website or by email to info@coremusic.co.uk.
