Estate Agents in Corbridge and Nearby Hexham
The two estate agents with offices in Corbridge, Anton Estates and Finest, plus the Hexham branches of Rook Matthews Sayer and Pattinson that cover the village, with tips on choosing an agent.
Corbridge is one of the most sought-after villages in the Tyne Valley, and homes here are marketed by a mix of village-based and regional agents. Two estate agents have offices in Corbridge itself. Several of the larger North East firms cover the village from their branches in Hexham, four miles west, so this guide includes two of those as well.
We have listed each agent's own description of what it does. We have not ranked them or compared fees, which vary by property and are always negotiable. Get at least three valuations before you choose.

Anton Estates
Anton Estates is a family-run agency at 19 Middle Street, a few steps from the Market Place. Husband-and-wife team Jonathan and Jessica Landale took over the business in 2024, and it describes more than 25 years' experience in sales, lettings and valuations. Its listings cover Corbridge and nearby villages and towns, including Riding Mill and Hexham.
The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm. Phone 01434 632080 to book a valuation.
Finest
Finest has its head office at 15 Market Place. It describes itself as a collective of independent estate agents, each chosen to sell distinctive homes, and markets properties across the North of England, the Scottish Borders and beyond. As well as sales and lettings, it offers private sales, auctions through The Finest Auctions and a buying service. If you are selling a period or country property and want regional reach, it is worth a conversation.
In Hexham
Hexham's estate agents are clustered along Priestpopple, at the east end of the town centre. Both of these branches list Corbridge within their patch.
Rook Matthews Sayer
The Rook Matthews Sayer Hexham branch is at 46 Priestpopple. The firm was established in 1990 and has around 15 branches across the North East, offering residential sales, lettings, property management, auctions and commercial property. Its branch page gives opening hours of Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm, and the phone number is 01434 601616.
Pattinson
Pattinson is a family-run North East agency launched in 1977, with its Hexham branch at 15 Priestpopple. Pattinson's branch finder says the office covers a wide area from Warden to Allendale and across to Corbridge. Property portals list different phone numbers for the branch, so use the contact details on Pattinson's own branch page.

Choosing an agent
- Get three valuations. Corbridge has a mix of stone terraces in the conservation area, larger Victorian villas on the slopes north of the village, and modern estates, and valuations can differ. Ask each agent which recent sales they are comparing your home to.
- Check redress scheme membership. Every estate agent in England must belong to a government-approved redress scheme, such as The Property Ombudsman or the Property Redress Scheme. Letting agents who hold tenants' money must also belong to a client money protection scheme.
- Read the contract. Look at the length of any sole agency period, the notice needed to end it, and whether the fee includes VAT and marketing such as floor plans and professional photos.
- Ask about local buyers. An agent with an office in the village will have walk-in buyers. A regional firm may reach buyers relocating from Newcastle or further afield. Some sellers use both approaches over time.
