About Queen Elizabeth High School

It is a non-selective academy in the Hadrian Learning Trust for students aged 13 to 18, with about 1,300 on roll including a sixth form, and the headteacher is Mrs Katie Innes.

As the high school in the area's three-tier system, it takes most of its Year 9 intake from the middle schools of the Tyne Valley, including Corbridge Middle School. Ofsted rated it Good in every area, including sixth form provision, at its inspection in spring 2024. Its reports are published under the school's reference number, 143291.
